Your character grows through experience gained by adventuring. Completing quests and overcoming challenges grants experience points (XP), which you spend to improve skills and even statistics. You start with a specified amount of XP at character generation. Your GM will determine how much based on the world you will be exploring and the tone of the game. As you advance, you become increasingly capable, reflecting your growing reputation and skill.
