About Jennifer M. Miller, Ph.D.

 

Dr. Miller earned her PhD in criminal justice at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Dr. Miller is originally from Little Rock and has endeavored to stay close to home (and her parents) since graduating. She is an associate professor of criminal justice at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, where she began her career teaching college in January 2015.

She has an oddly diverse background in that she holds a BA in Criminal Justice and a BA in Professional and Technical Writing, along with a minor in Biology. She earned her MA and PhD concurrently. She has also worked in adolescent mental health since 2001, so has a thorough understanding of psychology and its diagnostic components, as well as, psychopharmacology. Her dissertation focused on sentencing outcomes in Arkansas, and corrections is her primary research focus.
