What You Will Learn
In this section, you’ll learn about the three levels of law enforcement in the United States and the major functions of police today. You’ll explore Wilson’s three styles of policing and their differences, understand the mission of America’s premier federal law enforcement agencies, and examine why police departments in America are often described as quasi-military and bureaucratic organizations.
