Understanding the roles of First Aid and Medicine is crucial for keeping characters alive and ready for the next challenge.
- First Aid:
- Represents immediate, basic treatment: bandaging wounds, stopping bleeding, applying pressure, etc.
- Successful checks usually improve daily healing rates and stop ongoing HP loss if you’re seriously wounded or worse.
- Medicine:
- Involves more thorough care under cleaner conditions with proper tools.
- Usually grants a significant bonus to HP recovery once per day.
- Rolls can only be made once per day per patient unless the Game Master rules that fresh resources or a new situation allow another attempt.
