Collecting and Organizing Data

In this section, we will consider some important elements of data collection that are necessary for the statistical methods that we’ll learn later to work as intended.  When it comes to data collection, the old computer science adage “garbage in, garbage out” is key.  We will then move on to consider how descriptive statistics can be used to organize and simplify data so that we can better understand the overall picture of what we are studying.
