Trinia Isaac is a Licensed Certified Social Worker and serves as the Field Education Director and Assistant Professor of Social Work at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Trinia earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas. Committed to advancing her expertise, she pursued further education at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, where she obtained her Bachelor of Social Work degree. Trinia later completed her Master of Social Work degree at Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena, Mississippi.
With over 27 years of experience in the social service field, Trinia has worked across various domains, including child welfare, adult services, hospice care, addiction studies, and mental health. Most recently, before joining the Social Work team at UAM, she served as a Mental Health Therapist and Center Director for a local community mental health provider.
Since joining the world of academia in January 2021, Trinia has taught the following courses: Spirituality in Social Work Practice, Cultural Diversity, Survey of Social Work, Child Welfare, Social Work Values and Ethics, Social Work and Mental Health, Generalist Social Work Practice I and III, Social Work Field Practicum I and II, and Social Work Field Practicum Seminar I and II.
