One of the most common complaints from faculty about using OER materials is that they don’t know how to find materials. I’ve started to link resources and created a list of OER Textbooks organized by academic discipline.
Beginning Statistics
This textbook is housed on the oddly named Lardbucket.org and was developed by a professional publishing company.
Fundamentals of Social Statistics
This text by Adam McKee is designed to be a primer for social scientists and others that aren’t interested in the advanced mathematics, and takes a decidedly “intelligent consumerism” approach. The focus is conceptual and Excel is the primary software considered. The text is available in HTML, Kindle eBook, and print formats.
